Gal Gadot has officially announced that a third installment of the “Wonder Woman” franchise is currently in the works for the DC Universe. The actress revealed that there is strong hope that the film will be developed in collaboration with James Gunn and Peter Safran, both well-known directors and executives at DC Studios.
“I absolutely love playing Wonder Woman. She’s a character that’s very close to my heart. From what I’ve heard from James [Gunn] and Peter [Safran], we’ll be working together to develop Wonder Woman 3,” the actress stated in an interview with ComicBook.com. Gal Gadot has portrayed “Wonder Woman” multiple times within the DC universe, including in the films Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016).
Zack Snyder directed the film and Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer wrote the screenplay, marking the actress’s first appearance as her character. Patty Jenkins directed Wonder Woman (2017), which was written by Allan Heinberg, Zack Snyder, and Jason Fuchs. Gal Gadot played Diana Prince in this first solo Wonder Woman movie. Justice League (2017) was directed by Zack Snyder and written by Chris Terrio, based on a story by Snyder, Terrio, and Joss Whedon. This film brings together DC’s main superheroes. Patty Jenkins directed Wonder Woman 1984 (2020), which she co-wrote with Geoff Johns. This movie was the sequel to Wonder Woman.
