LeBron James, the renowned basketball player and proprietor of Blaze Pizza (known as the King in his own right), generously offered free servings of the chain’s latest 14-inch pizzas to the public on the roads of Cleveland.
A video that surfaced on Twitter on Monday shows LeBron James, or as he calls himself, “Ron,” surprising fans with a stack of pizza boxes. The Los Angeles Lakers player donned a handmade hat and posed as a delivery person, stopping people on the street to give them full pizzas and take selfies. Although most people were surprised by the unexpected encounter, one guy didn’t seem to care and simply ignored LeBron’s pizza delivery act.
“Hey there, what’s going on? My name is Ron,” he greeted as he launched into a lengthy monologue. “Blaze is currently offering an enormous pizza with genuine ingredients that can be shared. It’s not frozen, and none of the toppings get frozen either. Allow me to showcase some of our stunning and quirky toppings, such as artichoke and lettuce.” Although Ron only wore a hat to conceal his identity, his fans remained skeptical of his act. Nevertheless, he refused to change his role. “I’m not Ron,” he maintained. When a fan thanked him by his real name, LeBron, he replied, “I have no idea who LeBron is.” LeBron re-posted the advertisement on Twitter with the caption, “What can I say?! Ron is just an average guy. We’re now offering the new LARGE Blaze Pizza.”
According to a spokesperson from the company, customers can now order 14-inch pizzas in their preferred style or choose from Blaze’s classic pizza options, such as meat lover, veggie, green stripe, and BBQ chicken. I’m curious about what LeBron James’ go-to pizza choice is.
