Wonder Woman is W Magazine’s May cover star.
Or rather, Gal Gadot — who is set to star as the sexy superhero in June’s Wonder Woman film — lends her own wonderful face to the front of the publication.
The 32-year-old poses below a ‘W’ rather than wearing it on her chest in the new shoot, posing on the cover in a half-on Burberry trench coat — and not much else.
Wow, what a woman! Gal Gadot, 32, covers the May issue of W Magazine
The former Miss Israel is starring in Wonder Woman, out in June
In the magazine, the Israeli stunner looks every bit the elegant A-lister, modeling a relaxed Bottega Veneta taupe shirt and matching skirt, a curve-clinging Diane von Furstenberg dress, and a fun ’70s-inspired Prada dress.
Seemingly paying homage to her patriotic character, she also wears a red, white, and blue Gucci cardigan jacket over an Hermès swimsuit.
Despite her obvious poise and star power, though, Gal admitted that she never actually planned to pursue an acting career, and had to be convinced to follow this path.
After she won Miss Israel in 2004, Gal fulfill her two years of military service in Israel’s IDF. She then enrolled in college to study law, which is when she was approached and asked to audition to be a Bond girl.
Reluctant: She didn’t even want to be an actress, and was studying law following a stint in the IDF when she was approached to audition to play a Bond girl
She first appeared as Wonder Woman in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
Initially, she turned them down.
‘I said, “No way” I said, “I’m studying law and international relations. I’m way too serious and smart to be an actress, and besides, the script is all in English.” I spoke English, but I wasn’t comfortable with it,’ she said.
She didn’t end up getting the part, but was cast in Fast & Furious, and ended up leaving school as she racked up modeling gigs.
Last year, she appeared for the first time as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice — and though she is undeniably gorgeous, not everyone was pleased with the casting.
Seriously? Gal said some comic book fans were upset with her casting because her breasts aren’t big enough
Bust boost: She was pregnant while filming and would come to set with migraines
Next thing: Though she wasn’t cast as a Bond girl, she did get a role in Fast & Furious
”Cause my boobs were too small. Yeah — that was a big problem,’ she said. ‘The Web really paid attention to the important side of Wonder Woman.’
Interestingly, though, her boobs may have gotten a bit bigger while filming the role in the original ensemble film, since she was pregnant on set.
‘I found out I was pregnant while shooting Justice League. I had terrible migraines. I would show up in dark glasses, and they all thought I was going Hollywood, but I was only pregnant,’ she said.
She has two daughters, five-year-old Alma and newborn Maya, with her real estate developer husband Yaron Varsano.
